You're a Wonder, That's No Lie-Ski
The LoC has unveiled an amazing catalogue of historical recordings, called the National Jukebox. First up, a 1904 recording of Billy Murray doing ‘Meet Me in St. Louis, Louis,’ which to my delight includes this gem of a line: “You’re a wonder, that’s no lie-ski. If you don’t fall down and die-ski. So meet me in St. Louis, Louis. Meet me at the fair!”
