Your first glimpse inside Eataly's La Birreria

Almost a year and a half after the first announcement, La Birreria at Eataly (200 Fifth Ave., at 23rd St., Flatiron), the brewpub on the roof of Eataly, is almost here. The official opening date: June 3rd. Today, for the first time, we got our first glimpse of the space and a taste of the beer.

The LoC has unveiled an amazing catalogue of historical recordings, called the National Jukebox. First up, a 1904 recording of Billy Murray doing ‘Meet Me in St. Louis, Louis,’ which to my delight includes this gem of a line:
“You’re a wonder, that’s no lie-ski. If you don’t fall down and die-ski. So meet me in St. Louis, Louis. Meet me at the fair!”
