Van Halen performed a muscular and fun-filled show Thursday night at Cafe Wha?, a tiny club in NYC’s Greenwich Village. In the basement venue: the original owner, David Lee Roth’s uncle Manny. Chatted him up. Legend. Look for that. Also there: Chuck K (shared some VH memories) and Eddie’s magic pedals (pictured). Here’s the setlist, including one “new” track, “She’s the Woman,” which was actually off the 1976 demos produced by Gene Simmons.
1. “You Really Got Me” | 2. “Runnin w/ the Devil” | 3. “Somebody Get Me a Doctor” | 4. “Everybody Wants Some” | 5. “She’s the Woman” | 6. “Dance the Night Away” | 7. “Panama” | 8. “Hot for Teacher” | 9. “Ice Cream Man” | 10. “Aint Talkin Bout Love” | Encore: “Jump”
